Steppe Ledger

Digital money in Kazakhstan, rule by rule

About

Why Steppe Ledger exists and who writes it.

What this site is

Steppe Ledger covers one thing: local banking, regulation, licensing, compliance, offramp, onramp, exchange, stablecoin payments, industries, tenge conversion. Everything published here stays inside that scope. If a topic is interesting but outside it, it does not get published, because there are better sites for it.

Digital money in Kazakhstan, rule by rule

Who writes it

Every article on this site is written by Timur Abenov. Covers digital money in Kazakhstan: banks, regulators and what changes for an ordinary account.

Readers are assumed to be kazakhstani businesses and finance staff following how the rules move.

How articles are written

Claims that can be checked are checked. Where a number matters, the article says where it came from and when it was measured. Where something is uncertain, the article says so instead of rounding the uncertainty away. Costs, risks and inconvenient details are included, because leaving them out is how crypto writing usually goes wrong.

What this site does not do

No price predictions. No investment advice. No paid placements dressed up as reviews. Nothing here should be read as a recommendation to buy or sell anything. It is written to explain how things work so you can make your own decision.
